<description>Bergen Hyde is someone I was immediately drawn to because of her beautiful heart and her willingness to feel and share her experience with others so deeply.
Listen in as we describe the archetypical journey of Wounded Maiden to the Cherishing Mother in our work with the sacred feminine and hear Bergens’s personal story of starving for the nourishment of the divine feminine and how she came to find her.
What is internalized patriarchy, and how does it impact women?
What is the wounded maiden, and why is she so prevalent in the world today?
What are the traits of Wounded Maiden? What are the Traits of Mother?
What is The Triple Mother Wound, and how can we reveal it and heal it?
What is the Death Mother?
How can the dark feminine energies hurt or help us?
Why does the Patriarchy want to keep women pretty, pleasing, and polite?
What is the archetypal underworld, and why must we go there to discover who we are?
How can women awaken from the trance of patriarchal religion to discover the sacred feminine's nourishment?
How did Bergan begin to conceive of her work with WOMB?
Why it’s so important for women to become embodied and know their own inner wild?
How can women return to flow and keep the flow?
How can women connect more deeply with Mother Earth?
What does it mean to be with the “pain of transformation?”
Bergen Hyde has lived in Provo, Utah for the past 13 years with her husband and three kids. Her favorite things are dancing, salty snacks, spending time in the mountains, preferably in a body of water. Bergen is the oldest of 4 and grew up in Wisconsin.
She is the Co-Founder and Creative Director of WOMB, which she founded with her two sisters Jentri and Sarah. They hold women’s circles, workshops, retreats, and one-on-one mentoring designed to support women in healing internalized patriarchy, integrating the sacred feminine, and reclaiming personal sovereignty.
Bergen has been devoted to the sacred feminine for the last four years and is currently training under Sarah Durham Wilson as a Wounded Maiden to Mature Feminine practitioner. Special Guest: Bergen Hyde.

<description>Learning more about the wisdom of my menstrual cycle over the years has helped me so much.
It’s hard to believe that in this day and age, modern women are still in the dark about the incredible, miraculous rhythmic cycles of the feminine.
Understanding our cycles has so much to do with our creativity, spontaneity, energy, and fertility, while holding so many clues to our emotions, our access to healing, and clearing out that which no longer serves us.
I love Taq’s work and now that I’ve had the chance to get to know her more deeply, I’m so moved by how she facilitates this work, not only with other women but how she honors this work in her own life.
In this episode you’ll learn about:
Tapping into our monthly cycle as weekly “seasons” helps us to know when to create, work and play, and when to rest and recover.
The Sacred Womb and knowing our pelvic centers as energy centers.
How colonization, patriarchy, and capitalism have played a part in keeping women from tapping into our agency and claiming our own sovereignty as divine feminine creators.
Why “Self Care Down There” (https://imwithperiods.com/new-book) is such a wonderful gift for mothers and daughters.
Understanding that every one of us is different and that there is not a “standard normal” for menstruation. Whatever your cycle is, is exactly the cycle for your body, and learning to trust that.
How we are socialized to look at our menstrual cycles as an inconvenience instead of as access to incredible inherent wisdom.
Why tapping into our “seasons” is the key to tapping into abundance and flow.
Learn more about the “seasons” of our menstrual cycle as they relate to PCOS, Migraines, Heavy Bleeding, PMS, Menopause and more, and why it’s so important that we listen and trust the wisdom of our own bodies.

  <description>The Mother Wound.
This is a subject that is near and dear to me because of my own experience healing this wound, and it’s a continual theme in my work as a co-active coach. Most often, women are unaware that they have a throbbing Mother wound waiting to be revealed and healed.
Often the wound continues to cause problems in the lives of women because they don’t understand the source of their pain and if they do, they are taught not to talk about it.
From a very early age, we are raised to reject the feminine. Our initial split is usually unconscious but begins with that which represents the feminine, our own mother.
We are taught that an alternative to being “feminine” is to seek to emulate the masculine because it’s what we glorify in this culture, and so many women become lost, deeply yearning for the missing and rejected parts of herself.
In a patriarchal culture, we are taught that to be feminine is weak, emotional, crazy, manipulative, and needy. Because our own mothers grew up inside the same patriarchal culture, they often exhibit symptoms of the wound and perpetuate it through their own fractured parenting, or pass it through the womb. They too are trapped between a rock and a hard place due to the fact that our society does not value their role in the family structure, nor do they value themselves, because, wound.
In addition to the fact that we don’t celebrate the feminine in our culture, we also can’t speak of the fracture, because to speak ill of your mother is taboo. While we can poke fun through media, comedy, literature, and theatre, we are bound to a collective shame should we dare speak out against the women who birthed us into the world.
Healing the Mother-Daughter split involves grieving the initial separation from or rejection of her, as well as the rejection of that part of ourselves, and then learning to honor the values that we've been cut off from as women - a reclaiming of our own feminine, and ultimately a reclamation and integration of both the feminine and the masculine.
